Halcyon Dreams
At the point where the sand meets the waves is where we want our feet and minds to bring us. Soft golden grains embrace the shimmering waters, making their own fate and surrendering to the rhythmic waves. Each time the two elements hug, the waves create stunning silhouettes on the beach, creating an instant masterpiece. They whisper stories of distant lands. Together they create an ever-changing composition that paints a picture of eternal connection, texture and colour. In this eternal play, sand and waves combine and create nature’s finest artwork, setting the mood for this beautiful midsummer campaign we present to you.
Our annual resort-wear series is a symphony of comfort and expressive style, usually with open collars, and simplified, abbreviated cuts, embracing optimal agility and ventilation that goes in line with the necessities of summer garments. Brisk designs are further heightened by liberated colours made specific to every idyllic setting imagined.
Cuban shirts, one of last year’s key items, were first introduced in the strongest and most playful shades in cotton/silk. This year, we bring back sanity and confine to classical colours, but we let the textures come out in their full-blown beauty. Waffle-textured in plush, jersey cotton, like a towel that gently pushes against our skin, leading to pleasingly comfortable outcomes.

Field jackets are universally perceived as modern man’s most functional garment, with four statemental pockets on the front of the garment, with extras to count on internally. It is almost inevitable to be mindful of a linen option. Experimenting within our comfort zone with this neo-classical silhouette, the sandstone shade, like our Sandstone double-breasted sport jacket. It has a harmonious overall tone resembling a surplus of pebbly sandstones and reads as a clean, malleable canvas. Dressers can dictate the theme of the outfit by incorporating impactful colours and elements to take over, or conversely, manipulate it to make it a leading statement that connects the entire tonal look.
100% Japanese Linen
With a penchant for clean lines and sophisticated, unfussy design philosophy, this is our take on a field jacket that offers a neat, tailored finish with a semi-modern look that strips down all military connotations but with only good functionality in mind. Perfect leisurewear for off-duty and travel.
Form follows function — Imbued with utilitarian influences, the design comes with four flap pockets with press studs, buttoned cuffs and concealed plackets, maintaining a clean front look, yet designed with an action back enabling ample movement. Shaped to a relaxed silhouette, the jacket can be worn solo or with a sport jacket underneath, equipped with internal drawstrings so you can cinch the relaxed fit for a smarter look.
Solid but airy, the garment is made of a well-bodied pure linen. With linen’s dynamic mix of yarn colours, the overall garment evokes colours and textures of the pearly sandstone, compatible with both neutral and high contrast colours.
Complete the set with: Linen Drawstring Trousers - Sandstone
Pair this with:
All shirts and polos, or any breezy summer layer. For trousers, we highly recommend Civilman Trousers or denim for casual, or pleated trousers in brown, green, grey and white for a dressier look.
100% Japanese Linen
If we were to think of a trouser design that stands for the 2000s, it oughts to be a pair of drawstrings thus far. As much as we adore casual styles, this is not a sign of us giving in to the apathetic (can’t-be-bothered) attitude. The two are distinctly different.
As part of The Anthology’s resortwear series, this pair of breezy linen trousers injects with a dose of Italian Riviera chic, suitable to wear on both the beach and the city.
The modern drawstring waistband detailing does not only offer flexibility to the waist, but it essentially adorns the more casual aesthetic, also differentiating from our classically tailored trousers.
We sourced this Japanese linen twill for breathability to tackle the summer heat, while determined to retain a nicely tailored form. Flowy but tapered in cut with single reverse pleats, also equipped with welted side and back pockets, one can indulge in this pair of everyday trousers with utmost comfort while retaining a clean and smart look. Suitable for styling with just anything ranging from a t-shirt to a sports coat.
Hem can be rolled up to mimic the look of a trouser cuff if necessary. We recommend leaving it as it is.
Complete the set with: Rover Field Jacket - Sandstone
Pair this with: cream, green, blue or brown. Perfect for spring/summer worldwide. Wear it with our Cuban Camp Collar Shirt in 'Sunset' or Caramel Waffle, or Terry Popover in China Blue during your stay in resorts with a pair of espadrilles and favourite pair of sunnies.

A modern top-and-bottom set doesn’t limit itself to be just a tailored suit. We decided to complete the set with drawstring trousers for synchronised colours, or tonal sand shorts with fossil is equally beautiful — one of our favourite looks during off-duty days. You may now complete the whole ready-to-wear look.

The design comes with an enlarged pocket and a specially designed collar with horn buttons where need be.

Our interpretation of a casual t-shirt that frames a clean and smart look. An idea inspired by 1950s sportswear, it is the culmination of contemporary and ‘high vintage’.
The style features a simple design with specific proportions — a higher neck, ribbed sleeve and collar, shorter body and longer ribbed hem. This allows the t-shirt to hug around your trousers’ waistband without going too long or needing to be tucked in, maintaining good overall proportions even when paired with mid to high-rise trousers and sport coats.
This product is made of fine-gauge organic cotton, handpicked and sustainably farmed. (Please read our Ethical Sourcing and Production Statement) Incorporating full knitted construction, this breathable summer knitwear gives a defined body and contour. To enhance the luxurious silken finish and soft hand, the garment has gone through a tumble washing procedure in a final step unique to The Anthology.
Pair this with: practically anything in your wardrobe, be it a suit, sport jacket or Lazyman jacket. Colour-wise we suggest blue, brown, grey and white. Sneakers and espadrilles are also suitable.

Long, but right before your knees, keeping your proportions right, also exemplifying pleated perfection.
If a pair of shorts go too long, covering one's knees, it makes one looks short. If the shorts are done too short and timid, it would look more like a pair of swim trunks, or worse, boxers. This artefact is all about striking the perfect balance, and we managed to find the unrivalled solution.
As part of The Anthology’s resortwear series, this is a ‘modern-vintage’ design made in a cotton/linen blend as a quintessential item, suitable to wear on the beach, the city, or even an excursion.
The form of the shorts is the true essence — it embodies chic and comfort. With practicality in mind, the design comes with slight volume around the thigh and the opening, ensuring the piece to be generous around the thigh part, allows ventilation.
The use of cloth is also the highlight. Cotton as the major constituent upholds a supple and moist look to the general garment, smoothens up linen’s characteristically dry and crisp handle. It also offers a more structural body, making creases look less wrinkly. The appeal is reminiscent of traditional preppy or English country chinos, just with an extra touch of linen for a sense of modernity and practicalism.
Linen also serves a functional purpose as it possesses a quick-dry effect and ventilating property due to its looser weaving structure, allowing wearers to enjoy their best under the heat. It is also traditionally perceived as a luxurious fabrication.
(We recommend the shorts hem to end right before your knees, otherwise, bring it to your alteration tailor for a simple alteration for the best result.)

Bodley loafers by Crockett & Jones in snuff suede, a softer proposition. Snuff suede is the softest brown that would not cause a nuisance to an outfit. They are denim's best friend, equally complementary to linen shorts and trousers.
We are honoured to create this collaboration model crafted by one of the last remaining English shoemakers, the formidable, dependable, failproof Crockett & Jones.
Bodley is a half-strap penny loafer designed with clean, elegant lines, such as the refined butt-stitched apron and an oval cutout.
On a 376 last, it features a modestly short vamp which is casual enough to be paired with jeans, chinos and our Civilman trousers, yet dressy enough to be taken back to more formal settings when a suit is called for. Although based on an iconic C&J shoe last, the heel counter was also modified from its predecessor, the 314 last, to hug tighter around the back of the heel for a better fit, also to accentuate the divine lines of the shoe.
This design is done in snuff suede, with a city rubber sole, Goodyear welted. Box and individual shoe bags included.
Summary:
• UK sizing
• E fitting
• 376 last
• Snuff suede upper
• City rubber sole

The Wingman Blouson, previously introduced only in winter fabrications, finally comes with a summer debut. The four-pocket arrangement remains, diagonally and reversely panelled forming a strong X-shaped profile, complementing the widest points of the upper body - shoulders and hip. An additional iteration to this summer version is the snap button fastening on the cuffs, allowing sleeves to be rolled up when the fiery heat hits town. The fabric is in white linen, specifically sourced from Japan, enriched with herringbone textures woven into the bone of the fabric. Perfect to be used for holidays as a stylish windbreaker on top of a breezy thin layer.
100% Japanese Linen
Contrary to the first edition of the Wingman Blouson, this is a breezy linen alternative to a summer-tailored jacket. This is our take on a short-cutting jacket partially inspired by the historical flight jacket, with juxtapositions of spaciousness and form-fitting illusions through edgy pattern-cutting, forming a comprehensively sculpted form with hints of softness within. Full article about the design here.
Cut straight on the body with a naturally cinched elasticated waistband and sleeve opening, the sprucely gathered puckers give contrasted shaping yet maintain a clean, but not stoic look. The four-pocket arrangement added extra points of interest to the garment. Diagonally and reversely panelled forming a strong X-shaped profile, the sartorial-minded design is heightened by a touch of edginess, looking exceptionally spiffy even as a casual outdoor blouson. Slanted 'warmer' pockets around the upper waist are shielded by an additional layer, with zippers guarding both sides of the chest. All pockets are designed with better security, all thoughtfully angled and concealed to avoid one's personal belongings from falling out.
The blouson is finished with a silver two-way zipper. When zipped up, the body forms a subtle balloon effect like a classic bomber, giving volume to express a masculine look. By releasing the lower zipper, it complements our usual mid-high-rise trousers, achieving that sleek sartorial, tailored look, and creating a distinctive high-low aesthetic. An added feature to this summer version is the snap button fastening on the cuffs, allowing sleeves to be rolled up when the heat hits.
The fabric is in a white in full linen from Japan, enriched with herringbone textures woven into the bone of the fabric. Perfect to be used for holidays as a light step-up of a blouse.
Pair this with:
Knitted T-shirt in any colors, such as navy, espresso, or ecru. For Trousers, we highly recommend Drawstring Trousers, or dress trousers in brown, olive, and vanilla.
