Civilman Trousers are the relaxed versions of your tailored dress trousers. Like a chino, it is at the same time a step-up of the rugged jeans/classic denim. It embodies a modest and courteous image, mostly casual with a hint of dressiness for everyday use. We specifically sourced a Japanese loomed white denim to combine the aesthetics of 'smart casual'.

This design is based on the classic five-pocket denim, built-in with curved inset pockets on the sides of the front with a coin pocket (formerly referred to as a watch pocket). The traditionally big patch back pockets are purposely replaced with our signature anchor-shaped flaps. Cut for a mid to high-rise, straight-legged, perfect for tailoring and casualwear. Wear them pressed with the centre crease or without, up to your preference.

Pair this with: Workman Corduroy shirt in mushroom brown or moss green, Sport jacket in sandstone, Short Sleeve Polo in club navy or powder blue, and Lazyman Jacket in camelhair or navy bouclé.

Care tips: Cold wash (below 30°C) by hand or machine, hang dry only. Due to the nature of the cloth, a total of 2cm length shrinkage may apply from the first few machine washes.

Designed for the well-adapting individuals who excel at both work and leisure, this is a casual piece that embodies more hardwearing properties, a practical semi-outerwear that can easily be worn solo or styled over a knit or tee on chillier days. 

Crafted with heavier fabrics, this is a direct reference to a general work shirt — less sinuous than our usual garment, the overshirt is cut in a slightly more semi-fitted silhouette to allow both tucking in and out, topped with slightly oversized utility chest pockets, with absolutely no fuss and feathers, but only having functionality in mind. 

Notwithstanding the more hardwearing property, we have also injected The Anthology’s sensibility of contemporary sophistication via the expression of the due diligence on cloth. Made from a specially developed corded glen check fabric woven in Italy, this piece features a supple velvety corduroy that offers a subtle cushioning effect, juxtaposed against its rigid outlook. With the visual illusion of the scarcely definable glen check and general silhouette, the piece comes off hard on the outside as a whole. But gradually, the soft and refined sensation intensifies once tactile comes into play, giving an unparalleled visual appeal and hand-feeling. 

Bleeding pen lines, ambiguous yet precise, a whimsical touch only corduroy can provide. Deep blue in contrast to the beige backside resembles ink and canvas, alluding to The Anthology’s quill and tailoring core at heart.

70% Wool, 30% Kid Mohair

The perfect shade of navy sport jacket, crafted in our house-developed Featherweight construction. This artefact is completely uncanvassed except for the lapels, featuring agility and unstructured comfort. It pushes boundaries and makes a sport jacket the softest possible while upholding the integrity of the lapel work, giving definition to a tailoring jacket's most important lapel roll.

Fabric sourced from Standeven. Apart from the sublime navy shade that excels at any possible occasion, it spotlights an open-weave wool/mohair hopsack for airing, a 'pore-like' mechanism like an organism's skin for advanced breathability and anti-crease property with a pure reliance on natural fibres only. Mohair is in the equation as a strengthened yarn to allow a fuller range of movement and durability, additionally a great absorbent of moisture. Aesthetically, it adds an extra touch of luxury by its understated sheen that deeply sinks into the navy. The garment is specifically styled with our elegantly thin edge-rimmed smoking black mother-of-pearl buttons to amplify its subtle elegance, showing no signs of deliberateness or hoity-toity haughtiness as they blend in. Wearers would not have to be concerned about flashiness.

Our jacket features an unpadded shoulder with our signature lapel buttonhole, with higher armholes giving the garment an exceptional range of motion. We’ve also extended the shoulders slightly to complement the spalla camicia, also described as the waterfall shoulders for a more laid-back aesthetic.
