Seersucker Drawstring Trousers - Terracotta

Seersucker Drawstring Trousers - Terracotta
Japanese Seersucker, 100% Cotton
If we were to think of a trouser design that stands for the 2000s, it oughts to be a pair of drawstrings thus far. As much as we adore casual styles, this is not a sign of us giving in to the apathetic (can’t-be-bothered) attitude. The two are distinctly different.
As part of The Anthology’s resortwear series, this pair of breezy seersucker trousers injects with a dose of Italian Riviera chic, suitable to wear on both the beach and the city.
The modern drawstring waistband detailing does not only offer flexibility to the waist, but it essentially adorns the more casual aesthetic, also differentiating from our classically tailored trousers.
We specifically sourced a lighter weight seersucker from Japan to compliment the more casual look. Wavy in texture, flowy but tapered in cut with single reverse pleats, also equipped with welted side and back pockets, one can indulge in this pair of everyday trousers with utmost comfort while retaining a clean and smart look. Suitable for styling with just anything ranging from a t-shirt to a sports coat.
Hem can be rolled up to mimic the look of a trouser cuff if necessary. We recommend leaving it as it is.
Pair this with: cream, navy or brown. Perfect for spring/summer worldwide. Wear it with our Terry Popover in Toy Poodle during your stay in resorts with a pair of espadrilles and favourite pair of sunnies.
Also available in navy/white ‘ripple’ stripe, pickle green and tobacco,
Care tips: Due to the nature of the cloth, a total of 2cm length shrinkage may apply from the first few machine washes.

Japanese Towelling Cloth, 80% Cotton 20% Polyamide
As part of The Anthology’s resortwear series, this is a riviera-themed popover with a vintage but modern styling.
Having functionality in mind, we envision this piece to be worn loosely, casually before and after a swim. Hence, no buttons or fastenings are needed around the neck to keep it the simplest possible. The devil in detail lies upon the hand-attached collar-piece. It is the only way to avoid collars from looking distorted when working with such soft towelling cloth. It is also a crucial hand-done procedure to ensure a beautifully laid-out open-collared look once popped over.
Piped with a cushioned layer around the seams, also the end of the sleeves and the main body, the meticulous detailing offers a drapey yet lazy feel, also full-bodied, with better definition. To further compliment the holiday at ease feel to it, we specially fitted a fuller chest drape along with extended shoulders/dropped shoulder seams, also a straighter hem for a slightly boxier and fuller-bodied look. The ensemble adds up as a completion to the whole ‘Lazyman’ look by default.
High split gussets are added on both ends of the garment for more action-friendly hand and pocket movements.
Pair this with: Khaki, tobacco, rust, and any other vibrant colors. Perfect for the beach paired with drawstring trousers, shorts or swimming trunks. Finish off the look with your Panama hat, French espadrilles and your favourite pair of sunnies.
Care tips: Cold wash (below 30°C) by hand or machine, hang dry only

Our interpretation of a short-sleeved polo is a crossbreed between sublime functionality and superior comfort. We attempt to bring every detail of the ‘common classic’ that no one is unfamiliar with to its new heights. We can dissect this into two parts — design and fabric.
On the design note, the polo is purposely made sans top-button as we always prefer a short-sleeved polo to be worn open-collar for its uninhibited expression. With this polo, one can get the additional option to convey different levels of expressiveness. The one-button option is a thoughtful design. Precisely positioned around the upper chest, the button offers two wearable options to the garment as an exploration of an Anthologist’s persona. It allows for consideration to go the classic ‘down-to-earth’ understated luxury look by having it buttoned-up or to go complete riviera extravaganza route with flair and confidence.
Starting from the angle of the collar to the way it fans out, every manoeuvrable outcome has been carefully designed and calculated during pattern making. The collar spreads outwards and drops gracefully, draws a soft curve from the placket to the edge. The design also features a nailhead ribbed sleeve and hem. Unlike our knitted t-shirts, the ribbing only gives slight contours to the framework but refrains from hugging around tightly for the holiday aesthetic.
The cloth is house developed and equipped with a luxurious drape and handle that juxtaposes an unexpected lightness. A technical challenge in its own right, this knitwear is woven in a super 120 Supima cotton double-ply yarn, successfully marrying drape with lightness, bringing the best of both worlds together.
Wear it to a yacht, a game or a meal. This is luxury functional wear in its simplest form.
