It is a specially treated linen that has a very special place in our hearts — arguably the house's top choice of linen.
This is the counterpart of the suit jacket, also designed to live on its own for pairing with other uppers. Fabric is sourced from Solbiati, the world's leading linen weavers under Loro Piana. Woven in a 3-ply twisted yarn with unique finishing, this cloth is sumptuously soft and substantially textured. This exquisite textile boasts what we describe as a suede finish, imbuing it with a velvety handle that invites tactile exploration. Unlike traditional linens offering a crisp and dry visual appeal, the sueded linen welcomes more transitional styling while retaining the natural elegance and breathability characteristic of linen with its twisted yarn nature, with an additional attribute of slight resistance to creasing.
Designed with single reverse pleats, these dress trousers allow more room to the thigh for extra comfort and action. We specifically chose belt loops over the dressier side adjusters for a more casual look, allowing you to wear a belt when you desire to pair with a more casual uppers.

If a pair of shorts goes too long, covering one's knees, it makes one look short. If the shorts are too short and timid, they would look more like a pair of swim trunks, or worse, boxers. This artefact is all about striking the perfect balance, and we managed to find the unrivalled solution.
As part of The Anthology’s resortwear series, this is a ‘modern-vintage’ design made in a cotton/linen blend as a quintessential item, suitable to wear on the beach, the city, or even an excursion.
The form of the shorts is the true essence — it embodies chic and comfort. With practicality in mind, the design comes with slight volume around the thigh and the opening, ensuring the piece is generous around the thigh part, allowing ventilation.
The use of cloth is also the highlight. Cotton, as the major constituent, upholds a supple and moist look to the general garment, smoothens up linen’s characteristically dry and crisp handle. It also offers a more structured body, making creases look less wrinkly. The appeal is reminiscent of traditional preppy or English country chinos, just with an extra touch of linen for a sense of modernity and practicality.
Linen also serves a functional purpose as it possesses a quick-dry effect and ventilating property due to its looser weaving structure, allowing wearers to enjoy their best under the heat. It is also traditionally perceived as a luxurious fabrication.
