Introducing Henley Shirts and Riviera Polos
The season’s campaign, Illusione Perfetta, is the dream of the Mediterranean Riviera, from the French and the Italian, with styles drawn from the best of Art Deco and a bit of Americana.
In our eyes, this campaign is both hedonistic and pragmatic. There are garments that embody the season's fantasy, the Betterman Jacket and the Sandwashed Silk Shirt among them—two luscious objets d’art of the season that indulge in romance. Yet every wardrobe, no matter how aspirational, is ultimately built upon what is worn most often.
This summer, that foundation comes in the form of the Henley Shirt and the Riviera Polo. They are perhaps the collection's two defining base tops, almost opposites in character, yet equally essential. One traces its roots back to workwear and underwear. The other belongs naturally to long afternoons spent by the sea. Together, they represent our idea of everyday dressing within Illusione Perfetta.

The Henley Shirt
The Henley's origins are decidedly humble. Once worn as an undershirt by labourers and sportsmen alike, it was prized for practicality rather than style. Over time, however, it has grown beyond its utilitarian beginnings. Today, we see it as an elevated basic that offers just a little more visual intrigue and flexibility than the familiar crewneck, and thus one of the most versatile foundations in a wardrobe.
Ours however, could never be short-sleeved. They are expressed in this type's most elegant form. We'd rather you wear it over the transitional weather, or simply push the sleeves up as the day unfolds. Even Paul Newman would lose the cool if the henley was short-sleeved.
That said, comfort was never intended to come at the expense of refinement. Looking back to some of our older bespoke Airtex shirtings, we developed a cotton cloth with a honeycomb weave that takes inspiration from the open weaves, which encourages airflow very much the same way tropical tailoring such as mock leno or basketweave perform in summer. Rather than appearing overtly technical, the cloth is softened and materialised with superfine gauge Supima, with weave stretched in shape, disguising its performance beneath a surface that feels understated yet quietly luxurious.
The colour palette follows a similar philosophy. Previous summers explored softer pastel shades like Seafoam and Cinder Rose. This season, we chose to deepen them. Celadon and Coral join the collection with greater richness and saturation, reflecting the ever changing moods of the Riviera.

Crafted from fine-gauge cotton, the fabric is executed in a specialised weaving structure to offer this perforated, porous effect. Though designed as a long sleeve for proportion and style, it remains exceptionally smooth, light, and airy.

The Riviera Polo
If the Henley is rooted in heritage, the Riviera Polo is born from a state of mind, an imagination that is anchored by clear vision.
Picturing oneself aboard a Riva Aquarama, the shoreline slowly disappearing into the horizon. The last thing you should be doing is fumbling with buttons. Scrambling to fasten a polo is hardly the image we had in mind, nor should a falling button lead to the casualty of marine species circling below.
Instead, the Riviera Polo dispenses with them entirely.
We're still somewhat dumbfounded by how extraordinary a polo without buttons can feel. The open V-neck lends the garment an immediate confidence. It is striking from the very first glance, outwardly expressive yet humbly restrained, carrying just enough pizzazz without ever appearing overstated.
Like the Henley, technical excellence begins with the cloth. Knitted from linen and long-staple linen and cotton mix. A dry, breathable handle with a fluid drape is where we’ve come to, to prevent that unpleasant sticky feeling. It is equally suited to warm afternoons and layered tailoring. Sometimes the simplest ideas prove to be the most enduring.

Part of the house’s resort wardrobe and a reflection of our refined approach to everyday dressing, this classic polo is defined by its distinctive skipper-style open collar. Drawing from the spirit of coastal elegance, the design is understated yet expressive. Clean in form and precise in detail, the collar carries an effortless sense of flair, reinforced with ribbed construction to maintain its shape. Ribbed cuffs and hem further refine the proportions, framing the body with ease and definition.
The piece also highlights its choice of fabrication. The combination of cotton and linen gives extra breathability and character to the texture while maintaining a luxurious, supple hand. The purity of the blend also offers a natural stretch for the cloth to hang and manoeuvre. It is functional luxury at its most distilled.

Two Foundations
Though different in personality, the Henley Shirt and Riviera Polo ultimately serve the same purpose. They are garments designed to live beneath sport jackets, accompany lightweight tailoring, or mostly stand confidently on their own.
Illusione Perfetta may dream of Mediterranean glamour, but every dream still requires a wardrobe that functions in everyday life.
