a showcase that grabbles with both fun and elegance in an entirety.
This series highlights a collection of reimagined Ivy Style and Regatta staples through The Anthology's colour palette and artistic lens. With a playful yet tranquil and tamed colour presentation, every piece we create in this collection can easily incorporate into casualwear, and pair with any other foundational pieces in your wardrobe, living up to the practice of versatility and adaptability of our house’s creations. It is not the dated kind of boating blazers we all think of. Leave that in the past. We live in the present.
Refined for the modern, gracefully shunning aesthetics that are no longer irrelevant. The new collection features two boating blazers, one in lighthearted pale tones while the other explores darkened neutrals for a tinge of depth. These two come with a dartless front pattern cutting technique that pays homage to the traditional boating blazers for a seamless connection of patterns. We also designed three compatible shirting pieces to go with the two statement pieces. For casualwear artefacts, we are introducing two new pairs of Civilman Trousers, and last but not least, our signature knitted t-shirts, but in patterns for the very first time.

The boating blazer boasts about its excitement and visual impact. Although a style statement with tremendous historical influences, it is common to find these garments hard to style, more often unrelatable - we blame the aversion to bold colours and its stuffy connotations. With a style and colour reinterpreted, the outcome is a soft-toned, soft-structured blazer that is versatile and can easily incorporate into casualwear.
Fabric is sourced from a Japanese mill we work with closely. The colours consist of dark beige and ink grey, with a faint remembrance of light beige. The toned-down version of a boating blazer comes without an overpowering power play and is in opposition to any of its predecessors from the history books. The design explores fun and playfulness differently. More importantly, it also upholds its distinctive modern charm via the application of subtle notes such as neutrals.
Our blazer features an unpadded shoulder with our signature lapel buttonhole, with higher armholes giving the garment an exceptional range of motion. We've also extended the shoulders slightly with our classic subtly-roped silhouette for a masculine yet elegant and timeless look. This specific piece also comes with a dartless front that pays homage to the traditional boating blazers for a seamless connection of patterns.
Pair this with: uppers in Deep Blue Linen Shirt, superfine knitted polos or knitted t-shirts. Bottoms we recommend Civilman Trousers in White and Vanilla, shorts, indigo jeans or dress trousers in grey.

The ultimate classic for the summer. Seen from countless classics on the silver screen from Bond to Plein Soleil, deep blue linen is something none of us is unfamiliar. Whether you plan to wear plain white bottoms or mix-coloured seersuckers for the rivieras, khaki chinos or olive cargo trousers in the city, this deep blue would always remain a surefire without much thought into styling. This piece is easy to pair with its tonal counterpart, even with navy, or to go contrasty combo otherwise.
Woven solely in pure linen, one may consider this a resort shirt to add to their stylish outfit itinerary during a holiday destination sojourn, alternatively a feel-good piece during your temporary stay on the beach club. Civilman Trousers are the relaxed versions of your tailored dress trousers. Like a chino, it is at the same time a step-up of the rugged jeans/classic denim. It embodies a modest and courteous image, mostly casual with a hint of dressiness. The cloth is the ultimate highlight. The ecru denim is elevated by subtle dispersed flecks of espresso or black, like vanilla pod in ice cream. It evokes an instinctive raw-looking charm, adding an extra layer of casualness to the garment.
This design is based on the classic five-pocket denim, built-in with curved inset pockets on the sides of the front with a coin pocket (formerly referred to as a watch pocket). The traditionally big patch back pockets are purposely replaced with our signature anchor-shaped flaps. Cut for a mid to high-rise, straight-legged, perfect for tailoring and casualwear. Wear them pressed with the centre crease or without, up to your preference.

Our interpretation of a casual t-shirt that frames a clean and smart look. An idea inspired by 1950s sportswear, it is the culmination of contemporary and ‘high vintage’.
The style features a simple design with specific proportions — a higher neck, ribbed sleeve and collar, shorter body and longer ribbed hem. This allows the t-shirt to hug around your trousers’ waistband without going too long or needing to be tucked in, maintaining good overall proportions even when paired with mid to high-rise trousers and sport coats.
This product is made of fine-gauge organic cotton, handpicked and sustainably farmed. (Please read our Ethical Sourcing and Production Statement) Incorporating full knitted construction, this breathable summer knitwear gives a defined body and contour. To enhance the luxurious silken finish and soft hand, the garment has gone through a tumble washing procedure in a final step unique to The Anthology.
Pair this with: practically anything in your wardrobe, be it a suit, sport jacket or Lazyman jacket. Colour-wise we suggest blue, brown, grey and white. Sneakers and espadrilles are also suitable.

One of our most covetable bespoke shirting pieces over the summer in 2021, this specially milled piece has further strengthened The Anthology’s idea of a casual shirt in the realms of ‘more than just classic business’ stripes. An archetype of 'smart casual', the shirt remains safe and subtle in the use of colour. But instead of going for the typical blues, this piece is composed of a soft blend of ecru and green, with soft white lines that are so close to ecru, seamlessly blending in for an extra point of interest. The overall colour ensemble resonates with a vintage shirt, yet equipped in modern detailing, perfect for any smart casual to casual settings.

Our interpretation of a short-sleeved polo is a crossbreed between sublime functionality and superior comfort. We attempt to bring every detail of the ‘common classic’ that no one is unfamiliar with to its new heights. We can dissect this into two parts — design and fabric.
On the design note, the polo is purposely made sans top-button as we always prefer a short-sleeved polo to be worn open-collar for its uninhibited expression. With this polo, one can get the additional option to convey different levels of expressiveness. The one-button option is a thoughtful design. Precisely positioned around the upper chest, the button offers two wearable options to the garment as an exploration of an Anthologist’s persona. It allows for consideration to go the classic ‘down-to-earth’ understated luxury look by having it buttoned-up or to go complete riviera extravaganza route with flair and confidence.
Starting from the angle of the collar to the way it fans out, every manoeuvrable outcome has been carefully designed and calculated during pattern making. The collar spreads outwards and drops gracefully, draws a soft curve from the placket to the edge. The design also features a nailhead ribbed sleeve and hem. Unlike our knitted t-shirts, the ribbing only gives slight contours to the framework but refrains from hugging around tightly for the holiday aesthetic.
The cloth is house developed and equipped with a luxurious drape and handle that juxtaposes an unexpected lightness. A technical challenge in its own right, this knitwear is woven in a super 120 Supima cotton double-ply yarn, successfully marrying drape with lightness, bringing the best of both worlds together.
Wear it to a yacht, a game or a meal. This is luxury functional wear in its simplest form.

Linen serves a functional purpose as it possesses a quick-dry effect and ventilating property due to its looser weaving structure, allowing wearers to enjoy their best under the heat. It is also traditionally perceived as a luxurious option for summer shirting. However, the downside is the way linen creases which is not for everyone, but do not worry, we have that covered. This blend is predominantly blended in with cotton, which effectively counters the creasing effect of linen, making a formal shirt possible when needed.
