Introducing: The Knitted Feather T-Shirt

Thumbing through old picture books and poring over archival patterns from seasons past, our thoughts kept returning to those iconic ribbed T-shirts we once created. They were brilliant in every sense. Smart, structured, and endlessly flattering. They framed the shoulders, hugged in all the right places, shortened the torso ever so slightly, and somehow made the legs feel longer.

But if we were to begin anew, not because those shirts were lacking, but simply because it was time for something different, what would that look like?

We studied the moodboard time and again. There was a quiet dishevelment in the reference images, something purposefully undone that our original ribbed shirts never sought to capture. They were sharp, perhaps a touch too refined for the mood we now imagined. So we asked ourselves, what if we softened the lines, even just a little?

If the ribbed knits were a love letter to vintage athletics, then the new Feather T-shirt is drawn from an entirely different spirit. Its inspiration lies in the word itself—feather. Light, unhurried, almost drowsy. A nod to ease and quiet confidence.

Menswear has always navigated the delicate balance between polish and ease. On one side, precision and tailoring. On the other, an effortless elegance that feels lived-in. And when that balance is just right, something truly special emerges. With this new piece, the shoulders are gently dropped, the sleeves a touch longer, and the silhouette looser, allowing for that subtle, languid slouch. Soft and airy, it’s designed to feel relaxed from the moment you put it on.

And then came the question of fabric. We resisted at first. Tencel? It doesn’t carry the cachet of silk. But we dug deeper. Made from wood pulp, it wicks moisture better than silk, it breathes, it’s strong. And unlike silk, it survives the wash. Because let’s be honest—what’s the point of a summer tee that can’t be worn, loved, and worn again?

Putting aside the the glitz and glam of silk, we went against our misbeliefs and folded Tencel into our knit, elevated it with subtle refinements — a cleaner neckline, a slightly cropped hem, a clean finish. Tuck it, or don’t. Either way, it falls just right.
