If the Lazyman Jacket is all about softness and lightness, this overshirt goes the complete opposite direction.
Introducing a more casual option which we christened The Taskmaster, a practical semi-outerwear that can easily be worn solo or styled over a knit or tee on chillier days.
This artefact is an interplay of identity, texture and colour.
Minimal yet rugged, but also elegant to an extent, this piece is an ambitiously thoughtful creation with multiple levels of depth, designed for the well-adapting individuals who excel at both work and leisure. Like many others, being situated in a high-octane society, cities that are full of dynamics and synergy, the Taskmaster Overshirt makes a handy garment that befits someone who occupates as a creative penman to an experienced craftsman.
Designed to be less sinuous than our usual garment, this is a direct reference to a general work shirt. The garment is cut in a slightly more semi-fitted silhouette to allow both tucking in and out, topped with slightly oversized and wickedly positioned utility chest pockets, with absolutely no fuss and feathers, but only having functionality in mind. Notwithstanding the more hardwearing property, we have also injected The Anthology’s sensibility of contemporary sophistication via the expression of the due diligence on cloth. Made from a specially developed corded glen check fabric woven in Italy, this piece features a supple velvety surface that offers a subtle cushioning effect. However, this piece is juxtaposed with rigidness and softness at the same time, giving an unparalleled visual appeal and hand-feeling. With the visual illusion of the scarcely definable glen check and general silhouette, the piece comes off hard on the outside as a whole but eventually, the soft and refined sensation intensifies once tactile comes into play.
Bleeding pen lines, ambiguous yet precise, a whimsical touch only corduroy can provide. Deep blue in contrast to the beige backside resembles ink and canvas, alluding to The Anthology’s quill and tailoring core at heart. Simply put, these components are all brought to life under the inquisitive label’s quill.
